Driveways and sidewalks are the biggest share of the work we do, and they are the first thing anyone sees when they pull up to your house. We tear out failed concrete, convert gravel drives to concrete, and pour new drives, walks and approaches across Northwest Ohio.

Driveway Work
- Tear-out and replacement of cracked, heaved or spalling concrete drives, including haul-off of the old slab.
- Gravel-to-concrete conversions — the base gets excavated, stoned and compacted properly rather than pouring over loose gravel.
- Garage approaches and aprons, tied to the existing garage slab with an expansion joint.
- Parking pads, turnarounds and extra parking areas.
Sidewalk and Walkway Work
- Front walks, entry aprons and step landings, poured with a broom finish for traction in winter.
- Curved and shaped walkways where a straight run would look wrong against the house.
- Street-side sidewalk sections and city-spec replacements.
- Service walks running from the drive to a shed, patio or side entry.
Base, Reinforcement and Finish
- Driveways get excavated to depth, stoned and compacted before any concrete arrives. That base is what determines whether the slab is still flat in ten years.
- Slab thickness and reinforcement are matched to what will drive on it — a daily-driver drive and a drive that holds a loaded truck or camper are not the same pour.
- Control joints are cut on a planned spacing, edges are finished clean, and the surface gets a broom finish so it is not slick when wet or icy.
What to Expect
- Expect to be off the drive for several days. We schedule tear-out and pour so the time you are without a driveway is as short as the concrete allows, and we tell you the exact dates before we start.
- Keep salt off new concrete through the first winter. Sand for traction instead — deicers are hard on concrete that has not fully cured.

Common Questions
How long before I can park on a new driveway?
Typically about a week in normal conditions, longer for cold-weather pours. We give you the exact date for your pour, and foot traffic is allowed sooner.
Can you pour concrete over my gravel driveway?
Not directly over it. We excavate, place proper base stone and compact it. Pouring on loose gravel is how driveways end up cracked in a couple of years.
Do you haul away the old driveway?
Yes. Tear-out and haul-off are included in the quote unless you want the broken concrete kept on site.
Should I salt my new driveway?
Not the first winter. Use sand for traction. Deicing salt is hard on young concrete and shortens the life of the surface.
